Daughters of Divination (DOD, not to be confused with the Department of Defence) was formed by Thalassa to explore the "Oracular Universe ™" and all its divinatory possibilities (as well as supporting Thalassa’s mad schemes for global domination through divination-centred events). DOD helps to produce the San Francisco Bay Area Tarot Symposium (SF BATS) and the Tarot Rumba Lounge, a divination salon. Through events, The Belfry ("the finest piece of divinatory journalism in the Western world!"), readings, and classes, DOD fosters investigation of the Universe inside and outside the individual.  To become part of our illustrious organization, click here!  As we say in the DOD, "Onward in Excelsior!"

The next SF BATS - the Fall San Francisco Bay Area Tarot Symposium -  is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2008 (new date - we just don't want to compete with Fleet Week and the entire US Armed Services this year) .  There's going to be lots that's fresh, exciting and new - both presenters and vendors - as well as lots of our well-loved our "usual suspects." Also, we are thrilled to announce the return of the Post-BATS Salon on Sunday, October 5 at the Cathedral Hill Hotel so that you can keep the Tarot glow going!

Watch for other exciting events including the Ides of March Tarot Tea Party, "Special Topics in Tarot" Talks at Fields Books, the Tarot Day Spa <tm>, Tarot Rumba Lounges and so much more.  In April 2009 watch for the exciting new event "Bardomancy! Shakespeare, Elizabethan Mgick and the Quest for the Divine."  Go to the Events page for more info, including Thalassa's class schedule!

In addition to events, Thalassa and the Daughters are available for readings at your party or event.  Thalassa can also bring her wit and wisdom on a wide variety of Tarot, divination and related topics to your magical or study group.  For more information – including fee scale -  or to schedule a date, goto the Contacts Page and  follow the instructions therein.

Daughters of Divination is looking for affordable, accessible space in San Francisco for classes and small events, including tea parties and salons.  If you know of a place that might work, email Thalassa.
