Travels With Thalassa 2008 Classes, SF BATS, Tea Parties, and so much more! CLASSES Tuesday
Means Tarot with Thalassa at Ancient Ways Ancient Ways 4075 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, CA 510-653-3248 Sliding fee scale per Ancient Ways 4 classes that romp down the Royal Road in a quest to help explore new ways of looking at and using Tarot. Classes meet at Ancient Ways from 7:00 to 9:00 Tuesday, May 20 Fun with Face Cards – different ways of looking at, and using, the fascinating and often troublesome cards that make up the Tarot Court.
Tuesday, May 27 Figuring Out the Number Cards – ways to work out meanings for the pip cards (Gladys Knight not included). Tuesday, June 10 Rehabilitating Problem Cards – Looking at the light and shadow in all of the deck enables one to look at even the most troublesome card from a new perspective. Some previous experience is advisable. Tuesday, June 17 101 Things to Do with a Tarot Deck - Divination, Tricks and Techniques, Study Guides for Further Exploration and so much more! A hands-on exploration of how to use the cards in readings for self and others, drawing on Thalassa’s nearly 40 years of experience, and digging into her great
big Tarot Toy Box [tm]. Bring your questions and problems with reading the cards - we'll try to find solutions. Some previous experience is advisable. Special Topics in Tarot at Fields Bookstore This is a monthly series exploring special topics in tarot. Suggested donation for each class $5-10. May 14 Tarot in Light & Shadow - There are no "good" or "bad" cards, only cards with something to tell us. Every card is capable of being dignified, or undignified, depending on how you read it. We will explore the light and the shadow in several traditionally "difficult" cards.
